So, I have been calling Ryan shark boy for about a month. He's had a wiggly tooth for several months - but hasn't wanted to pull it out...really - he pretended to try - but I think was a little afraid. Remember, his first wiggly tooth came out after a game of tug-o-war w/his brother. So, while the baby tooth was wiggly - the permanent tooth was growing in BEHIND it - producing 2 rows of teeth. This time, Ryan could actually push the tooth at a 90 degree angle out front of his mouth. I had him show his dad - not wanting to be the one to help pull out the tooth - because honestly, it was rediculous that it hadn't fallen out on it's own yet! :-) So.....his dad pulled out the pliers. Ryan stood bravely and by the count of 2 the tooth was out and Ryan was cheering. Aside from the shocked look on his face - he swears it didn't hurt at all! The tooth fairy came and filled his treasure chest and all is well again! :-)
However, Ryan has yet to pull out his own tooth - 1. brother tug-o-war 2. dad w/pliers 3. ??? we'll have to wait and see

Clearly this is one of the many reasons that God created Dads. I can't imagine hanking out even the most wiggly tooth with pliers!!! Ewwwwww.
But the toothless grin certainly looks good on the pirate.
How brave Ryan was!! Todd looks like he is having too much fun! At least he didn't use the vacuum cleaner this time!!! Way to go Hansberry men!! --Nana
