Look at what we did...

Well, it's official...we own a little piece of country. :-) We purchased 4 acres on the back side of Mt. Lemmon. It is at 4300 ft elevation. We are super excited...we plan to make it our weekend getaway. It is about an hour out of Tucson. We have seen a small herd of cattle roaming through the property, white tailed deer, jack rabbits along w/many other desert creatures. It makes for fun sightings!

Our plan is to build a garage w/loft apartment for now and eventually build the cabin home we have envisioned. Here are a few pictures. Keep in mind...we live in the desert...so no pine trees, no grass, just lots of cacti, dirt and scrub trees, that we've heard turn beautiful this spring. The flat mountains in the distance remind us a little of the Grand Canyon. The sunsets from here are beautiful...pink and purple colored mountains!

We may get snow and it will definitely provide a little temperature relief in the hot, hot Tucson summer. We are 3 miles from Peppersauce Cave, Oracle State Park, the Arizona Trail and about 20 miles from the top of Mt Lemmon (and pine trees, camping and fishing).

I give up. You're never moving back now. It's official.

Okay, pity party over. Congrats country dwellers. You gonna chew on some hay and ring the dinner bell? Such fun!
